WHO WE ARE
Home School Family Ministries (HSFM) is a nonprofit religious 501(c)3 organization comprised of Christian homeschooling families. Participating families sign a statement of faith, concurring with the following fundamental Christian principles and HSFM'S ministry vision.
All persons involved in the organization (including, but not limited to parents, children, instructors, administration, volunteers, directors, officers, etc.) profess and promote faith, love, and commitment to Jesus as Savior and Lord. We accept the Bible as the inspired Word of God and are yielded to the Holy Spirit to teach and guide us.
We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human, that He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, provided for the atonement of our sins by His vicarious death on the cross, was bodily resurrected by the power of the Holy Spirit, ascended back to the right hand of God the Father, and ever lives to make intercession for us.
We believe that God is eternally existent in three separate persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the fundamental doctrines of orthodox evangelical Christianity.
Participating families have chosen to home school for various reasons. A primary reason for doing so is to train their children in the ways of the Lord and to guard against harmful influences in society. Like-minded families utilizing the services of HSFM attempt to keep the hearts of their children pure in the knowledge of God and His Word. Participating children also know and love Jesus. They accept parental authority. Families have sought the association of other Christian home schooling families for academic classroom experiences in order to provide a social environment that is consistent with the teaching and values of their faith.
All persons involved in the organization (including, but not limited to parents, children, instructors, administration, volunteers, directors, officers, etc.) acknowledge that everyone involved comprise a team that will together minister to the needs of Christian homeschool families and will ensure that the children's experiences will be consistent with this written statement of faith and purpose. HSFM is a non-profit 501c(3) corporation organized for the purpose of ministering to Christian home school families.
HSFM is not a school for student enrollment. Rather, it is a ministry and service to home school parents, organized to assist in the teaching of various subjects and provide academic and elective opportunities that are conducive to a group and classroom environment. Such services also provide encouragement through fellowship, friendship, academic accountability, and the sharing of counsel and resources.
Services are organized and provided through the efforts of experienced veteran home school families, educators, and families who are currently homeschooling. HSFM's low budget operational expenses are used to compensate the teaching staff, administrators, and clerical assistants and keeps fees for services cost-effective for home school families. Fund raising efforts are offered for the sole purpose of keeping fees for services as minimal as possible and for providing optional opportunities for participating families to offset registration expenses. As a non-profit organization, HSFM is able to accept tax-deductible contributions, and are greatly appreciated. Donations can be made HERE.
In all the services and activities provided or facilitated through HSFM, parents remain accountable as the responsible home educator for grading and crediting their children. Teachers and HSFM administrators provide courses of study and weekly outlines as well as recommended grades for junior high and high school classes. Students receive classroom instruction once a week and participate in instructional activities and labs appropriate to the curriculum and subject matter. Teachers direct homework assignments for families to follow in order that course objectives are met week by week throughout the academic school year. HSFM is a ministry to help homeschool families succeed in educating their children at any stage of their K-12 journey. Parents remain fully accountable and liable for their children at all times while on campus.
Families who are in accord with this statement of faith and ministry vision are encouraged to review the schedule of classes and course descriptions to consider whether these services would benefit their home school efforts.
